Slide Shorts

Bloomers are cute for a little girl, but sometimes you need some real shorts.  Like shorts-for-sliding-down-hot-slides-shorts.  Like these.  I'm still refining my pattern as you'll find out, but here's the story so far…  suggestions welcomed.
